My convention credential. We have to display a different credential for each day of the convention. I only have a "limited-access" credential, because I'll be working mostly in the media compound just outside Madison Square Garden. If I need to go inside, I'll have to borrow a credential that lets me get there. (The RNC is being stingy this year; usually almost all media get a credential that lets them get inside the arena, to the skyboxes, et cetera, but not on the floor. That was the kind of credential I had in LA in 2000, but not this time around.)
The "VIP" lanyard doesn't actually signify that I'm important; our credentials manager had a bunch left over from the Democratic convention in Boston.
