Doesn't surprise me that JFK gets so screwed up. Once I had to taxi all the way around the terminals because of weather and traffic. Good thing it was Jet Blue, and I had a TV.

yeah, depending on what runway's active, sometimes you're in for a lot of taxiing.

I was surprised when my AA flight last week landed on 4R, then taxied on, among others, runway 31R! I'd never taxied on a runway before. I asked the first officer if that was normal, and he gave me a long hard stare before asking how I knew that. (um, because white lights out the window look different from blue ones?)
